Fatboys Resort

Fatboys is located on Babanga Island near Gizo. From Brisbane, it’s a three-hour flight to Honiara, then an hour’s domestic hop to Gizo and finally an eight-minute boat ride across electric-blue Pacific waters to the resort. The Babanga island is surrounded by white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and sublime diving spots and the resort highlights privacy and seclusion by offering travellers just 5 bungalows, period.

Each of the bungalows is designed keeping in mind the needs of the modern traveller and traditional architectural touches like leaf and locally-sourced hardwood floors, high-vaulted ceilings, plaited screens, etc. All bungalows are set right next to the beach and come with king-size beds comparable to five-star hotels, oversized balcony/ patios, ceiling fans, hammocks, imported furniture, ensuite bathrooms with hot water and showers, along with surreal views of ocean.
