The Edgewater Villas are located partially over the water, in our family friendly area of the Edgewater Lagoon. You’ll enter the two story villa through a private garden with your own plunge pool, sundeck and bridge over the pool. The lower level includes a relaxing living area furnished with soft leather and palm woods, complete with a full kitchen, dining room, media room with flat screen TV & DVD player, and a full bath. The leather couch in the media room is equipped with a fold out bed. Right off the living room you can access the ocean from your deck with ladder to Koro Bay. The Koro Sun Resort & Rainforest Spa is just a 15-minute ride from Savusavu’s airport and travellers love the scenic beauty of the hills, rainforests and the pale blue waters of the Pacific on either side of the road.
The resort is ideally situated between the slopes of a rainforest and the white sand beach. There is a picturesque jetty, protected by a line of overwater villas and the resort prides itself on a host of land and water-based activities – especially diving. Koro has a fully-certified dive shop which teaches new enthusiasts to learn diving and several dive sites where divers can come face-to-face with pods of dolphins, gloriously beautiful soft coral reefs.
Travellers also have a choice of two beaches, (one of them private) to sun, snorkel and swim. There is a nine-hole golf course for fun, as well as tennis courts. However, the adventurous can hike up to the magnificent Vuodomo Waterfalls, kayak on the Salt River or go for hikes in the woodlands. Of course, we would also suggest experiencing the warm Fijian hospitality during a traditional village visit. Also, the Koro Sun Resort has no less than three huge freshwater pools. The resort offers travellers a large choice in accommodations. There are three sites around which the villas and bures/rooms are located – in the resort gardens, nestled in the hills or situated around the water’s edge. Koro also offers its guests the choice to stay in a ‘floating bure’ or a two-storey treetop bure. From cosy garden bures for couples to the massive five-bedroom Mountain Top Villa overlooking the resort, Koro has something for every type of traveller. The resort has also made one-bedroom Tropical Apartments in its Rainforest section. These accommodations feature a kingsize bed, attached bathroom, lounge, open-plan living space and a kitchenette. Outside the air-conditioned apartment is the courtyard where the guests can lounge in the evenings with a cup of tea (or a glass of wine, for that matter!)
The resort could have been just a diver’s delight, with superb dive sites and great snorkelling to be sampled.
