All accommodation choices feature a spacious open-plan bedroom and living space, a choice of a kingsize bed or two single beds, ensuite bathroom and an attached private balcony. Amenities include air-conditioning, WiFi, flatscreen TV, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathrooms include a bathtub, shower, vanity mirrors, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, bathrobes and slippers. All rooms reflect a nice amalgamation of Polynesian culture and modern architecture, from the floor-to-ceiling windows, outdoor furniture, traditional artwork, etc.
Le Tahiti by Pearl Resorts (formerly Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort) is set next to the Lafayette Beach, a volcanic black sand beach which leads to gin-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Guests can take kayaks and snorkelling gear from the activities desk as well as book island tours, catamaran cruises, village visits, jungle tours and so on. The hotel also boasts of an excellent infinity pool and a pool bar. There’s also an in-house spa for relaxing massages and traditional spa treatments. Both the hotel’s Hiti Mahana Restaurant and Bay Bar are set with waterfront views and offers guests local as well as international cuisines.
From July onwards to November, the hotel’s guests can watch massive whales play around close to the beach, while pods of wild dolphins can be observed year-round, frolicking in the warm waters. Plus, there is a scheduled bus service which takes travellers to downtown Papeete – it’s an amazing city to explore by yourself.
