From the Nadi International Airport, travellers must take a 2.5-hour cab ride down to Pacific Harbour. From there, the resort’s own charter boat transfers the guests to the island in a short 10-15 minute sprint. The boat makes the inter-island run twice a day, mornings and late afternoons.

Accommodations at Beqa Lagoon Resort

Travellers can choose from six accommodation options at the Beqa Lagoon Resort. The Koi Pond Bures and Garden Bures are set around the resort’s lush gardens and the fishponds, while the Oceanview and Beachfront Bures are set close or next to the island’s powdery white sands. For small groups and families who want to spread out, there’s the Two-Bedroom Bures, while the resorts’ Honeymoon Bure is just what the doctor ordered for newly-weds. Or couples who want to redo their honeymoon, we’re all for it! All units come with a king-size bed, and can accommodate two adults, or a couple with two kids, comfortably – with an optional rollaway bed. The ensuite bathrooms are large, spacious and feature separate showers, well-lit vanity mirrors, plush linens and toiletries. Dining at Beqa Lagoon Resort

The resort’s Bure Kalou is set in a traditional Fijian nakamal-style hut, inspired by the central community hut in villages. It’s a massive structure, open on all sides with high-vaulted, thatched roof, seasoned timber framework and plenty of seating. The restaurant sources all its produce from the neighbouring villages, and the seafood is supremely fresh, most of it being catch of the day. The resort does offer imported Kiwi lamb and Australian beef, along with a deep wine list. Since the island is remote, the recommended meal plan includes a wide variety of cuisines. Patrons can dig into continental and international fare, along with Asian, Indian, and local island cuisines too!
