Plantation Island, Outrigger Fiji and Vomo win at Holidays with Kids’ Readers’ Choice Awards 2023

Holidays with Kids, a leading Australian family travel magazine and website, hosted its annual Readers’ Choice Awards for best family resorts in Fiji recently. The resorts were divided into three ‘pools’ or categories – best 3 & 4-star resorts, best 5-star resorts with more than 50 rooms, and best 5-star resorts with less than 50 rooms (that’d be boutique luxury resorts). It’s a nice way of separating the contestants in the eyes of families with kids who might want a smaller resort for more guest attention.

In the first category of best 3- & 4-star resorts, Plantation Island Resort took back its crown for its easy-going ambience, island charm and like Holidays with Kids put it – ‘offering three-star prices in a five-star island location’, and we couldn’t agree more. Set in the Malolo Lailai Islands, the resort has long offered great value-for-money for families with excellent all-inclusive Fiji holidays and great stay/pay offers to woo the largest of families. Following up are Castaway Island Fiji in the Mamanucas, the evergreen Naviti Resort set on the Coral Coast and Mana Island Resort.

In the category of best 5-star resorts with less than 50 rooms, the super-luxe Vomo Island Fiji held the first place on the podium, followed by Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Savusavu and Six Senses Fiji in Malolo Island. All these resorts offer stellar luxury when families want nothing but the best on a South Pacific holiday.

And in the last category of best 5-star resorts with more than 50 rooms, the list was starred by Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort in the Coral Coast, the Shangri-La Fiji Yanuca Island and the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort. Each of the resorts offer their international hotel chain’s benchmark luxury, hospitality standards, vast choice in terms of rooms and suites, dining venues, activities and experiences and tailored holidays for families. This year’s edition of Holidays with Kids’ Readers’ Choice Awards was a welcome bundle of joy for all nominated hotels and resorts – and we’re pumped for everybody!
