Castaway Island, Fiji Adds A Whopping Huge Waterpark To Its Attractions

The Castaway Island, Fiji, has inaugurated a massive inflatable adventure park off the island’s crystal-clear waters. Set off the island’s scenic North Beach, past the Monkey Rock, the new waterpark is big, blue and yellow and is 101% fun and excitement.

An important part of Outrigger Resorts’ 2024 ‘Elevate’ initiative, the waterpark promises to be a star attraction for all the summers to come. Guests can look forward to clambering on, bouncing off, and splashing on an assortment of wobbly attractions including, but not limited to a trampoline, water slide, swing, tower and more. And everything’s giant-sized, for added chaotic fun!

But the Outrigger Group and the Castaway Island doesn’t do things in halves. Before launching officially, all children from the Malolo District School were invited to see if they’d enjoy themselves on the inflatable waterpark. And from their joyful reaction from… stress-testing the park, the resort is betting that holidaymakers would love it in equal measure!

The official opening of the waterpark was marked by a special ceremony attended by the Taukei Nalotu and Qalito Island’s traditional owner Ratu Joisaia Qauqau, representatives of the local community, traditional owners of the waters surrounding the Mamanuca Islands, and Castaway Island, Fiji’s staff.

The resort’s General Manager Steven Andrews, “We continuously strive to provide unforgettable moments for our guests, ensuring that every visit to Castaway is filled with joy and adventure.” Open daily from 9:30am – 4:30pm, the waterpark is open for in-house guests as well as day-trippers. Guests will be transported between the resort and the Water Park via a dedicated transfer boat. Also, the Water Park is open to guests aged 8 and above, for their safety.
