Things to Do

For history buffs, a visit to the Solomons Peace memorial Park is a must – built by Japanese veterans, it is a solemn commemoration of the heroes who died. The American war memorial a short distance away pays homage to those who fell fighting during the Guadalcanal campaign of WWII. Outside the city, the magnificent Mataniko Falls carve out a canyon and is a sublime sight any day.
