West Plaza Hotel Malakal

The hotel offers three accommodation choices: standard rooms, one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom suites. Each of the options come with ensuite bathrooms, in-room safes, tea/ coffee makers and a private balcony. The standard rooms feature a double and a single bed, the suites come with two double beds, a full-size kitchen, living room, dining space and bayview windows.

The West Plaza Hotel is set amongst several of Malakal’s nightclubs, restaurants and adventure operators. The hotel’s tour desk (and our South Pacific Specialists, too!) can arrange scuba-diving charters, island tours, guided hikes, museum tours, jungle river tours and guided tours of the island’s ruins. Our recommendation? Check out three magnificent waterfalls north of Babelthuap – it’s an epic daytrip of fun and selfies! The hotel’s Palm Bay Bistro is a great place to hang out after a day of hectic fun and experiences. It specialises in Asian and Pacific Rim cuisines, but feel free to put your tastebuds to test with some local flavours!
