Why, indulge in every and all watersports imaginable, for one. Pinned on magazine covers and desktop wallpapers in glorious TechniColor 4K, Aitutaki’s lagoon is stupendously beautiful. For first-time visitors, we’d suggest just getting familiar with Aitutaki’s 15 small to tiny islets, from Maina to Tekopua to Tapuaeta’i (which is what the world knows as the One Foot Island) and more. Then, the resort offers complimentary SUP boards and kayaks for travellers to take and explore the lagoon on their own.
Outside the resort, the adventurous would love para-sailing, kite-surfing, scuba-diving, sunset cruises, glass bottom boat tours, and so on. Then, on land, there are island tours, hiking, cultural performances every other evening and so on. But the best activity of all? Just chilling by the beach with a ice-cold beer in hand, admiring the view. Nothing beats that. Speaking of cultural tours, do check out our blog on Te Vara Nui Cultural Village on the mainland; our South Pacific Specialists wax poetic about it.
