Beach View Villa
The Beach View Villa is some 10 strides from the beach and offers views of the sparkling waters. The villa’s louvre windows bring in cool breezes while high-vaulted ceilings ensure the indoors stay cool despite the summer heat. This Aitutaki Beach Villa accommodation features a living space, kitchen and a mezzanine room in the loft area. The mezzanine room features two single beds for kids, is secured by a balustrade and has a wooden staircase leading to it from the main sleeping area downstairs. Speaking of sleeping area, this Aitutaki villa features a spacious king bed with hand-woven traditional quilts, spacious wardrobes and bedside table. The adjoining kitchen is equipped with contemporary kitchen appliances and modern features like double sink, refrigerator, and cooker to just name a few. Absolute Beachfront Villa
There are two Absolute Beachfront Villas at the Aitutaki Beach Villas, both steps away from the white sandy beach and pristine turquoise waters. These two Cook Islands accommodations differ slightly, one has a mezzanine room in the loft area with two single beds for children and is enclosed by a balustrade for safety while the other accommodation trades this mezzanine setup for a spacious living room with a single bed. Apart from that, both the beachfront villas are similar. Bedrooms feature king beds complete with handwoven quilts, spacious wardrobes and bedside tables. The adjoining kitchen comes with a double sink, fridge, cooker and modern kitchen appliances. Additionally, the bathroom offers creature comforts like hot showers, washbasins and towels. Absolute Villas are roomy and stay cool with their high-vaulted ceilings and louvre windows. The Lagoon View Villas are set a little back in the property and offer partial views of the beautiful turquoise lagoon and its surroundings. About Aitutaki Beach Villas
From the small airstrip and airport, the Aitutaki Beach Villas is just a five-minute drive on the way to Amuri village. Set on over 4 kilometres of picture-perfect beach and facing electric-blue waters of the lagoon, the resort offers just four villas for travellers. Two of them are beachfront and are named thusly (Absolute Beachfront Villas!); the other two are set slightly back and staggered. Therefore, they’re called Lagoon View Villa and Beach View Villa respectively.
Three of the four Aitutaki Beach Villas are structured identically; offering super-kingsize beds with handcrafted quilts, spacious ensuite bathrooms, high-vaulted ceilings, wardrobes, open-plan living space with sitting furniture and a kitchen. Besides the main bed, the split-level design of the villas also offers travelling families a mezzanine with two single beds. The fourth villa exchanges the extra beds and the mezzanine setting for more living room space, but the amenities stay the same. The kitchen comes with a cooking range, a fridge, double sinks, kitchen appliances and utensils. In a nutshell, these are excellent choices for couples on a budget, pals on an adventure, small groups and so on – you get the drift.
Outside the villas, there is Aitutaki. For all the hopping that travellers must endure reach this patch of paradise, it’s worth it. There is world-class snorkelling, kayaking and swimming and scuba-diving to be soaked in every day, any day. The water transparency is like a sheet of glass and just relaxing on the beach with a book and a cold stubby is a worthwhile activity. We’d recommend taking an easy hike up to the island’s hill – the view of Aitutaki, it’s beaches, the lagoon and the distant sea beyond that is simply fabulous! Oh, and travellers can hire little scooters to putter around the island very cheap too. During your holiday, do attend an ‘island night’ at any of the resorts; it’s a blast of an evening full of music, dance, good food and drinks. It’s already a great idea, just do it.
